科研兴趣：
1) To engineer human dendritic cells using tumor-associated antigen (TAA) and lentivirus-medicated gene transfer system toward immunotherapy for human malignancies. In our laboratory, we have transduced CD34+ progenitor cells with lentiviral vectors encoding the prostate-specific antigen (PSA)-enhanced green fluorescence protein (EGFP). These engineered cells can be induced to differentiate and mature into dendritic cells, which are highly active in mixed leukocyte reactions and in vitro cytotoxicity assays. Our future goals are to translate these laboratory findings into potential clinical applications in the treatment of human malignancies.
2) To develop autologous cancer vaccines toward solid tumors. Autologous tumor cells are subject to UVC activation with/out genetic engineering to increase their immunogenecity for further vaccine preparation. The goal of this project is to develop a strategy to eradiate minimal residual disease in an adjuvant setting.
